The Skirt Bag

The skirt bag is an original one of a kind Coco Barclay design, it is a best seller and finds its way back into the collection each season.
The bag is fun, versatile and can be worn with many outfits, it looks glam with an evening dress or pretty with a summer dress.

The construction of the bag is unusual, using luxurious waxed Italian leather hand cut into a circular pattern to help create the iconic flare that resembles a skirt, attached to an antiqued clasp frame.

Lift up the skirt and find a beautifully lined bag. Each bag has its own unique lining and a secret pocket to keep all your treasures in.
The bag is handmade in England giving it that loving touch.

This really is a special design and every girl needs something special to brighten up their wardrobe!

Behind the scenes

I recently shot the new AW 14/15 collection and wanted to give you all a sneak peak of the finished product. I always forget how much preparation needs to be put in and it takes a long time, picking the clothes to be styled with the bags, organizing props finding the model, makeup artist, photographer and location and of course finishing the bag collection in time!

I was lucky enough to have a good photographer just around the corner from the studio, I picked a beautiful model from Brazil called Bruna and found some great clothes in fun bright pastels for the day bags and sophisticated golds and blacks for the evening bags.

When a shoot starts there's always some waiting around, the makeup, hair and getting the lighting perfect often seems to take up a chunk of the day, but once that was all done the day went fantastically getting some great shots using fun props to reflect the theme of the collection, I am really pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

Look out for the full range this winter.
